Christopher Andrighetti, of Russellville, was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, and charged with first-degree domestic violence, child abuse, and second-degree domestic violence, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The man beat his teenage daughter with a shower curtain rod and a piece of wood while she threw sharp objects and bottles at him.
Authorities said a northwestern Alabama man was accused of brutally beating her teenage daughter after she told her mother about her father’s alleged affair on social media. The 14-year-old girl was subjected to a horrific beating that ended only after she managed to flee to a neighbor’s home who helped her after she suffered “obvious injuries,” according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Alabama Dad Arrested for Savagely Beating Daughter
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call about a man beating his daughter, according to a WHNT-TV report. Cops saw multiple blood splatters outside the mobile home’s door, broken beer bottles, a Nintendo switch, and various other items. The house was reportedly “messy” when they arrived, with the laptops crumpled and the television damaged.
According to the media, the authorities stated that Andrighetti lost his cool after learning that her 14-year-old teenage daughter had told her mother that her father had an account on social networks and an alleged adventure.
Andrighetti is charged with first-degree domestic violence, second-degree domestic violence, and child abuse, according to jail records. He is now awaiting a bond hearing and remains in the custody of the Franklin County Detention Center.
The victim said Andrighetti began hitting her repeatedly and hitting her with a shower curtain rod and a piece of wood. He also reportedly told authorities that she was pushed to the ground and various sharp objects, including glass bottles, were thrown at her. When his father ordered him to clean up the mess, he went to the kitchen to get garbage bags, but he ran out of the house when he noticed the front door was open, according to the sheriff’s office.
When the teen reportedly arrived at a neighbor’s house, he immediately called authorities. According to the sheriff’s office, they eventually located Andrighetti hiding in a bedroom closet and covered in blood from self-inflicted wounds to his arms and waist. Two children lived in the house. The 14-year-old was rushed to the hospital for her injuries. Police found the second child hiding in a different closet.
