Damien Bendall admitted causing the deaths of Terri Harris, 35, John Paul Bennett, 13, Lacey Bennett, 11, and Connie Gent, 11, at Derby Crown Court; he will be tried for murder in November.
A man admitted today to killing a mother, hers, her two children, and one of the children’s friends who stayed over, but he denies the murder.
Damien Bendall has admitted causing the deaths of Terri Harris, 35, John Paul Bennett, 13, Lacey Bennett, 11, and Connie Gent, 11, at Derby Crown Court.
Their bodies were found in Killamarsh, Sheffield on September 19, 2021.
Bendall is accused of murdering the four between Friday the 17th and Monday the 18th of September.
Damien Bendall’s age is unknown.

He is also accused of Lacey’s rape.
Bendall was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital as he was injured before Derbyshire Police arrived.
There was an outpouring of grief after the deaths of Terri, John, Lacey, and Connie.
Jason Bennett understood to be the father of John and Lacey, said that he was “lost and broken” and described his children as “angels”.
Debbie Bennett, John and Lacey’s grandmother, said: “We are heartbroken. They were beautiful, well-behaved children.”
And mom Terri was described as a “beautiful, wonderful” mother.
Connie’s father Charlie said at the time of her “sweet girl’s” death that he felt he had let her down, adding, “the hardest thing is that I won’t be able to go back to hug her.”
A trial for the murders was scheduled to open today at Derby Crown Court.
Bendall was asked to plead guilty and has pleaded not guilty to the rape of Lacey and the murders of Terri, John, Lacey, and Connie.
He pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Judge Sweeney told the court before pleadings were filed: “We have reached the point in the interests of justice for the indictment to be brought.”
The trial will take place on November 24, 2022.
