During the bizarre rampage at a Cuban restaurant in Boynton Beach, Florida, USA, suspect Emily Lochten allegedly told police that she was “an ancient Egyptian God who could take on all of us” after they tried to subdue her.
The arrest report states that 26-year-old Emily Thomas Lochten stopped in the middle of the road, got out, and began yelling. Before going to a nearby Cuban restaurant, she allegedly grew angrier and hit the hoods of passing cars, according to the police report cited by local news station WPLG. A woman claiming to be an Egyptian goddess has been arrested after she demolished a restaurant and attacked police.
Witnesses claimed that the self-proclaimed goddess had arrived by car and stopped her vehicle in the middle of traffic, where she began yelling and banging on the hoods of randomly passing cars.
She then parked her car and went to the nearby Cuban restaurant where she began hitting tables and throwing plates and glasses at customers.
The restaurant manager claimed that he had asked her to leave, but she slapped his hand and continued to have tantrums.
An officer who was on the scene tried to stop Lochten, but she violently resisted and became “aggressive and hostile” toward him.
She then slapped him and yelled, “Don’t touch me!”
The police officer then unsuccessfully tried to subdue her with her taser, before another colleague of hers came to her aid.
Authorities said that during the attempted arrest, Lochten had claimed that she was related to the late rapper Tupac Shakur and that she was also “an ancient Egyptian God who could take on all of us.”
Lochten, who allegedly had “unusual strength” for which authorities believed her to be “an unknown substance,” also tried to hit the second mate, but he dodged her attack.
Soon after, several officers finally managed to handcuff the 26-year-old woman, who was then restrained on a stretcher brought in by local firefighters.
She was then transported to Mount Sinai Medical Center for medical checkups before she was finally taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
She now faces charges of assault on a police officer, resisting an officer with violence, assault on a police officer, resisting an officer without violence, and disorderly conduct in an establishment.
Bail was set at $10,000 (£8,100) for her release.
