Accused of Grooming and Sexually Abusing Young Athletes

“Sutter has been a multi-sports official, both male, and female, spanning from early childhood sports to college athletics,” authorities said in a statement. “For the past 50 years, Sutter has traveled all over the state umpiring track and field but primarily worked in central Michigan. Anyone who has played or had children who have played sports in this area probably had games officiated by Sutter.”

“It seemed like he was trying to befriend, primarily, young male victims, and shower them with gifts and attention and things like that to start building that relationship, all with the intention of potentially setting them up for these nefarious acts,” Scott said. . Wriggelsworth, Ingham County Sheriff. “Some of the information we have gathered since the beginning of this investigation leads us to believe that he has been taking advantage of young male victims for quite some time. And I don’t know if there are any female victims out there.”
