Jason David Frank a “Power Rangers” star has reportedly committed suicide after allegedly getting into an argument with his wife Tammie Frank on Saturday.

Jason David Frank was an American actor and mixed martial artist. As an actor, he was known for his role as Tommy Oliver on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and other shows. Frank was born in Covina, California on September 4, 1973.

Frank was a Christian and said that he started attending church after his brother’s death. He married his first wife in 1994 and the couple had two sons and a daughter. They divorced in 2001. In 2003, he married his second wife, Tammie, and the couple had a daughter. In 2022, Tammie filed for divorce.

Tammie, who filed for divorce from the actor in August, began fighting with Jason after they checked into two separate rooms at a hotel in Texas on Friday, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Jason David Frank died at the age of 49 years old.

Cause of Death

In 2017 he was attacked by a man named Matthew Sterling while attending Phoenix Comicon. Police were able to arrest Sterling before he approached Frank after receiving a tip due to social media threats made by Sterling. Later, Sterling was committed to 25 1/2 years at Arizona State Hospital.

Frank died in Texas on November 19, 2022, at the age of 49.

Despite staying in different rooms, the estranged couple reportedly got into an argument in Tammie’s room that night, but the situation was defused after hotel staff got involved.

The outlet reports that the two got back into it just a few hours later, with Jason locking his wife out of his room. Tammie then allegedly called the police to check on her ex around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Page Six has reached out to Jason’s representative for comment.

As previously reported, the actor’s death was confirmed to TMZ on Sunday.

Jason was best known for playing Tommy Oliver, the original Green and White Ranger, on “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.”

Tammie later took to Instagram to pay her respects to her estranged husband, whom she married in 2003.

“The loss of my soul mate,” she captioned a series of photos posted Monday. “Jason, I can’t go on without you! You’re my World! Yes, we had our struggles like any marriage. But months ago we both agreed it was worth saving.

“Deep conversations, vulnerability, forgiveness on both sides,” she continued. “I am deeply lost, hurt, and completely destroyed. I lost my only true love. I’m your baby ‘Firecracker’ forever… until we’re together again 💔.”

Several of Jason’s former “Power Rangers” co-stars also reacted to the tragic news.

“He was an inspiration to a lot of people,” Walter Jones said in a statement. “His presence will be greatly missed. It is very sad to lose another member of our Ranger family.”
