Sonia Loja a Mom of Connecticut killed her three children before suicide. Police said on Thursday that the Connecticut mom, who was found dead in her home with her 3 children this week, strangled the children before taking her own life.

Killed Her Three Children Before Suicide

Sonia Loja, 36, was found dead by Danbury police of suspected suffocation in a single-family home on Whaley Street, to which police responded at around 6:30 p.m. for a welfare check. Wednesday.

Loja’s children, 12-year-old Junior Panjon, 10-year-old Joselyn Panjon, and 5-year-old Jonael Panjon, were also found dead at home.

“While we await the official autopsy, preliminary findings suggest that Ms. Loja strangled all three of her children before committing suicide,” Danbury police told The Post. she said. “However, this remains an active investigation.”

Loja and her three children were living at home with two other adults who were not there when the police arrived Wednesday. Police said they have been aware of four deaths since then.

Mayor Dean Esposito described the incident as a “really horrific event” that shook the city of Connecticut.

“In the coming days, counseling and mental health services will be provided in collaboration with Danbury Public Schools and the City of Danbury,” Esposito said in a statement. Said. “Our society mourns the innocent lives taken from us. We will get through this together.”


Danbury Police Detective Captain Mark Williams said a preliminary investigation showed Sonia Loja, 36, killed her children, Junior Panjon, 12, Joselyn Panjon, 10, and Jonael Panjon, 5-year-old, before killing herself.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ family and friends,” said Mayor Dean Esposito, who was at the scene to offer support. “A truly terrible event has occurred in our city (Wednesday) and we mourn the tragic loss of life. Counseling and mental health services will be offered in collaboration with Danbury Public Schools and the City of Danbury in the coming days.”
